A distinctively modern take on the legendary classic returns to the main stage. The Postmodern Telecaster Journeyman Relic from Fender Custom Shop plays like a modern guitar but still captures the essence of the original design and attitude. A two-piece select ash body is highlighted by a Journeyman Relic finish that gives the guitar a well-worn look and feel, while Closet Classic hardware provides extra gleam. The rift-sawn maple neck has a ’60-style “oval C” profile and features a round-lam rift-sawn maple fingerboard with a 9.5–12” compound radius and 21 narrow tall frets for ultimate comfort and playability. The Loaded Nocaster bridge pickup combines Alnico 3 magnets with innumerable turns of #43-gauge enamel wire to deliver fiery hot tone; paired with a Seymour Duncan Seth Lover humbucking neck pickup, three-way switch and a dual-stack H/S Tele wiring for added versatility. Additional features include a three-ply parchment pickguard, a reverse angle ’58–’63 Tele bridge with RSD saddles, vintage-style tuning machines, a bone nut and wing string tree. A deluxe hardshell case, strap and certificate of authenticity are also included.
