NS Design CR Series 4-String Electric Double Bass

The NS Design CR Series 4 String Electric Double Bass was made in the Czech Republic, where there is a long-held reputation for producing the highest-quality upright basses. In its June 2000 issue, Bass Player magazine, citing its impeccable craftsmanship, stated, “This bass plays so well, in fact, that upright players may find it plays too easily.”

European maple neck and body with a flamed maple face. The neck has a traditional profile and is fitted with a Macassar ebony fingerboard. An active 18V hum-canceling preamp with volume, bass EQ, and treble EQ controls is wired to both a Polar bridge-mounted piezo and an EMG magnetic pickup.

The CR Series Upright Bass comes with a foldable chrome-plated tripod stand, a padded Cordura bag for the bass, and an interior bag for the tripod stand.
