This NeuSonic snare drum features Ludwig’s proprietary 7-ply shell, with a 4-ply maple exterior and a 3-ply cherry interior. The cherry ply adds a warmth and playability to the familiar attack of maple while also adding extra “breath” to the drum’s overall tone.  Handcrafted at Ludwig’s factory in Monroe, NC, USA, this shell is their thinnest, measuring a mere 5.5 mm thick for superior resonance and sustain.
