Prim’s Precision Cello Strings provide excellent performance in a steel core string, offering a quick response with a bright warm tone. With a quick setting time and consistent pitch, Prim strings are reliable through changes in temperature and humidity. Prim strings feature a flat steel winding for outstanding durability, while materials between the steel core and winding help with protection against corrosion, making these strings a favorite of players. Many players use Prim A and D strings combined with a synthetic G and C for instruments with a loud lower spectrum, but slightly weaker in the higher registers. Prim cello strings are available in three versions for full size—Soft (Light), Medium or Orchestra (Heavy) versions while the fractional sizes are available in Medium only.
